I was reading a Slashdot article about viruses (viri?), and I thought,
If we can train our nervous systems with vaccines, can we do the same with anti-virus software? It would work like this: A fake virus (i.e., the computsey kind), or vaccine, placed on the desktop, and McAffee or whatever would delete it. Another, slightly different, is put in the My Documents folder. McAffee finds it and deletes it. Repeating the process, McAffee would eventually delete the files faster and faster until it becomes even better and faster at detecting viruses (viri? Viruses? Viri. hmmm). When a real attack comes, McAffee is like, "A virus. No big deal" and 0wn5 the virus with his Delete Punch.
